HistoryCJSC "Murom" is situated on the left bank of the Oka River city of Murom in the Vladimir region, one of the oldest cities in Russia. It is the successor of Murom plywood plant, whose construction started in July 1929 and May 14, 1993 the plant was put into operation enterprises in the country. The designed plant capacity was 18 thousand m3 of plywood per year. The place of its sitting was not chosen occasionally, here was Countess Uvarova wood warehouse with its initial proceeding of timber for the population needs and her own economy. The raw was delivered by the timber rafting. From the very beginning the plant has one frame, equipped with 5 imported engineering tools “roller”, two glue presses, two respiratory presses and two roller dryers. There was an electrical power station on the plant with the power 1000 kw. For seven months of 1933 the plant produced 10,410 m3 of plywood, 1211 m3 of wooden slabs, 5524 m3 of sawn timber. During the Great Patriotic War the factory has successfully coped with work-related tasks quickly mastered and produced several types of special products for the aviation industry. Since 1950, began expanding the production of plywood and building some new shops. The shop synthetic resin and Bakelite film were introduced into operation. In 1964, chipboard plant joined commissioned departments, design capacity of 25 thousand m3 of panels per year. In 1992, having received independence, the plant became known as CJSC "Murom". In the beginning of 2007, launched a new line for plywood production, consisting of the line peeling, drying <Grientsebah> Germany, company press <Kitagawa> Japan, the line <Hashimoto> Japan.
